Piggott Community Hospital announced that Pamela Ray is the recipient of the 2020 Jo Metz Nursing Scholarship.  She is attending Three Rivers College at Poplar Bluff and enrolled in the LPN Program, where she will graduate in December 2020.

Ms. Ray currently works as a PCT (Patient Care Tech) at Piggott Community Hospital, where she began her career in April 2015.

The Jo Metz Nursing Scholarship is named in memory of Jo “Williams” Metz, RN, who was a dedicated nurse in the Piggott Community, serving at Piggott Community Hospital and Clay County Health Department.  “Jo was a very dedicated nurse who had a tremendous amount of compassion for people.  Through this scholarship, we want to help aspiring nurses replicate Jo.” says Tonny Dement, APRN, Director of Nursing at Piggott Community Hospital.
