REPORTS TO: Family Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse and PCH Chief of Staff
DEPARTMENT: Home Health – Rector / Corning
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Must be a graduate of an approved state school of nursing and currently licensed in the state of Arkansas or Missouri as appropriate. (Note: When an LPN is not available for hire, may hire an RN with appropriate approvals.)
Experience:
At least one year experience is preferred. Experience in clinic nursing helpful. To utilize the hospital’s electronic data systems, individuals must have average typing skills and be comfortable working with a computer keyboard and mouse.
Physical:
Normal office environment. Close eye work and normal hearing requirements. Continuous standing, walking, sitting and use of fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Lifting up to 100 lbs. and carrying up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to airborne particles and infectious materials.
JOB SUMMARY:
Directly responsible for the therapeutic care of patients. Must possess a good working knowledge of the nursing process and demonstrate sound clinical skills. The LPN promotes good public relations for the clinic and organization while maintaining patient confidence. Must be able to perform appropriately in crisis situations. Needs ability to communicate effectively with the organization and project a positive attitude.
