JOB TITLE: Registration Clerk

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
We are hiring for the 11p-7a shift. This is a full-time position. Some weekend work will be required.
We are hiring for a float position. This is a full-time position. This position will work in various areas of the hospital system; must be able to travel short distances.
We are also hiring for a part-time position.
Hours will vary depending on the need.
Experience in the behavioral health field preferred. On-the-job training under supervisory conditions. To utilize the hospital’s electronic data systems, individuals must have average typing skills and be comfortable working with a computer keyboard and mouse.
Education:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with courses in English and typing
required.
Experience:
Some experience as a receptionist preferred. Two weeks on-the-job training
adequate to attain job proficiency. To utilize the hospital’s electronic data systems, individuals
must have average typing skills and be comfortable working with a computer keyboard and
mouse.
Physical:
Normal hospital environment. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within
normal range. Oral communication. Operates computer, embossing machine, wheelchairs and
fax machine. Frequent sitting. Frequent standing, walking and bending. Lifting and carrying up
to 100 lbs. Pushing/pulling wheelchairs up to 350 lbs.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for accuracy and correctness of registration records. Must
show tact and understanding in dealing with patients, medical staff, and hospital personnel and
present a professional appearance. Interviews and registers patients.
