JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse

REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Services and Home Health (Administrator)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education

Associate, diploma, or Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Must be licensed as a
registered nurse in the state of Arkansas and Missouri. Must maintain drivers’ license valid in state of
Arkansas or Missouri and automobile liability insurance.

Experience

Two years nursing experience in hospital or community setting. Comprehensive
knowledge of nursing theory and practice including basic knowledge related to the biological, physical,
social and medical science, etc. to contribute to keen assessment skills. To utilize the hospital’s electronic
data systems, individuals must have average typing skills and be comfortable working with a computer
keyboard and mouse.

Physical

Frequent inside and outside work. Close eye work. Hearing with normal range. Uses
diabetic home monitoring equipment, thermometers, suction, IV therapy equipment, oxygen therapy
equipment, hoyer lift, beepers, telephone and automobile. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending
and stooping. Lifting, pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs. Carry up to 10 lbs.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivering, assigning, and supervising patient care for a single nursing unit and assisting the House Supervisor and/or Director with the supervision and direction of employees and the management of material resources. Under the direct supervisor of the House Supervisor and/or Director, responsible for assigned unit/unites, 1 shift. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by the hospital. Directs work activities; assesses, plans, assigns, and evaluates patient care.
